My second workshop was Atlas of Colour. The workshop did not go into the history and theory of colour as much as i was expecting, however i enjoyed the exercises that were set. It was challenging to try and create something to a relative level of perfection whilst also trying to create the right colour from scratch and control a brush. One of the major aspects of our atlas was the tunnel book aspect. There perhaps was not enough explanation to guide our development of it, as the tunnel was the downfall of many people's beautiful colour exercises.
The first workshop i undertook was Material Modelling. While it was quite liberating to create a piece of work with only a few constraints on the brief, it was also quite frustrating as sometimes it was hard to sufficiently explain my concept/ideas to the level the tutors were looking for. There was also a lot of critical responses which meant i was trying to create work to get a good mark, rather than explore the concept of the workshop fully.
